Position Description
Tersus Environmental is seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Manager to support and grow our remediation technology and technical services business.
This position combines technical project management, client relationship development, and business development. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving groundwater remediation problems, working directly with environmental consultants, and developing long-term client relationships.
The successful candidate will manage technical projects, support the application of Tersus remediation technologies, and help expand our advanced remediation performance monitoring services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage groundwater remediation and technical services projects, including project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client communication.
- Work with environmental consultants to evaluate site conditions, develop remediation approaches, and support treatment implementation.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through technical support, project execution, and follow-up.
- Identify new business opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and help expand Tersus’ client base.
- Support advanced remediation performance monitoring services, including compound-specific isotope analysis (CSIA), molecular biological tools (MBTs), and contaminant mass flux measurements.
- Work with clients to interpret multiple lines of evidence, evaluate contaminant degradation, assess treatment effectiveness, and identify opportunities for remediation optimization.
- Collaborate with Tersus’ technical and operations teams to support successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental science, chemical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in groundwater remediation, contaminated site investigation, or environmental consulting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects and communicate effectively with clients.
- Understanding of in-situ remediation technologies, contaminant fate and transport, and groundwater geochemistry.
- Interest in business development and building long-term client relationships.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a small technical team.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with advanced remediation performance monitoring, technical sales, or business development is particularly valuable.
Professional registration as a P.E. or P.G. is desirable but not required.
Work Location
This is a full-time, remote position open to qualified candidates throughout the United States. Travel will be required for client meetings, conferences, and occasional project support.
